MULTI-MEDIA RESIZE
Cross-Platform Resizing System
This project focuses on adapting broadcast graphics across multiple formats while maintaining clarity, hierarchy, and brand consistency under tight production timelines.
This project focused on resizing and adapting broadcast graphics for multiple platforms during my internship at NBC Sports. Each design needed to be adjusted to fit specific dimensions while maintaining clarity, hierarchy, and brand consistency.
The sizes included:
Digital Banners - 300×250, 320×50, 728×90
Email Assets - 640×200, 970×250
Fullscreen Broadcast - 1920×1080
Resizing isn’t just scaling, it’s redesigning for
every screen
OVERVIEW
THE PROBLEM / DESIGN CHALLENGE
How can one design system scale across multiple formats without breaking hierarchy or clarity?
NBC Sports requires a design system that allows graphics to scale across digital, email, and broadcast formats while maintaining clarity, consistency, and hierarchy under tight production timelines.
DESIGN SYSTEM
A system built to scale across every format
My approach focused on keeping the most important information visible first, adjusting layouts based on size constraints, and maintaining readability across every format. Each version was treated as its own layout rather than a direct scale of the original.
Email Assets
640×200
Digital Banners
300×250
320×50
728×90
Fullscreen Broadcast 1920×1080
970×250
FINAL DESIGN
Real world application
These graphics were implemented in a real production setting and were published on Golf Channel’s social media channels, reaching a wide audience and supporting live broadcast promotion.
