Building a visual system for a month-long sports campaign
OVERVIEW
THE PROBLEM / DESIGN CHALLENGE
How do you create fresh campaign visuals within an established brand system?
With the logo and color palette already established by the creative team, the challenge was to develop supporting graphics that expanded the campaign visually while remaining consistent with the existing brand direction. The designs needed to feel premium, cohesive, and adaptable across both social and broadcast formats.
PROCESS
Developing a consistent concept rooted in the campaign theme
My concept centered around the number three to reflect the campaign’s three marquee events. I used triangular forms throughout the compositions—both as subtle background elements and as a central focal point—to reinforce that theme visually and create structural consistency across layouts.
A more simple, cleaner approach
To increase flexibility across applications, I created an alternate version of the design without atmospheric effects like smoke and particles. This provided a cleaner, more restrained option while preserving the overall visual identity of the campaign.
Visual Assets
To enhance the premium feel of the campaign, I incorporated smoke and gold particle effects throughout two of the graphics. The smoke helped create depth and a sense of reveal, while the spark elements added motion and energy to support the “legendary” tone of the campaign.
FINAL DESIGNS
A campaign system built for social and broadcast
The final designs were adapted into vertical and horizontal formats for both social media and broadcast use. Each version was adjusted to fit its platform while maintaining a consistent look and feel, resulting in a flexible campaign system that worked across digital and live broadcast environments.
