The goal was to create a dynamic, visually engaging system that could be easily updated throughout the tournament while maintaining a professional sports aesthetic. The design was built for social media, allowing the league to quickly share updates as teams advanced.

THE PROBLEM / DESIGN CHALLENGE
How do you maintain clarity in a constantly changing bracket?
Playoff tournaments generate high engagement, with fans closely tracking matchups and team progress. Legacy Leagues needed a bracket that clearly communicated the tournament structure while maintaining a professional sports aesthetic. The challenge was designing a system that organized a large amount of information while remaining readable and easily updatable as teams advanced.

Inspiration
I based the layout on traditional playoff bracket styles used across major sports, including the NBA, NHL and other professional leagues. These formats are effective because they organize complex matchups in a way that feels familiar and easy to follow.
Each team name and logo was placed within editable panels, allowing quick updates and reuse for future tournaments.
Templated System
The bracket was designed with a clear hierarchy, using bold typography, team logos, color-coded panels, and clean connector lines to guide the viewer through each round.
